The center, one of only 15 in the country, will serve high-risk babies and their families and be located at Connecticut Children’s main campus in the city before relocating into a new expanded tower facility set to be open in 2025, the hospital system said in an April 3 news release.

Hartford HealthCare operates seven acute care hospitals, while Connecticut Children’s has four such locations.
