Expected to begin in Jan. 2011, the first-of-its-kind Quality Alliance will implement protocol to standardize patient care and promote a transition to performance-based reimbursements. The Clinic’s CPP includes more than 900 independent physicians, and those who sign into the Quality Alliance will be recognized by Medical Mutual and see additional incentives for participating in a practice model that rewards efficient care.
Through the alliance, CPP and Medical Mutual plan to explore various approaches to performance-based payment, such as the establishment of a medical home model and shared savings methodologies.
