Arkansas Children’s receives $25M donation

Little Rock-based Arkansas Children’s received its largest donation, a $25 million gift from the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, to fund expansion projects and create an endowment.

The health system will use $12.5 million to support expansion projects and $12.5 million to create an endowment. In honor of the gift, Springdale-based Arkansas Children’s Northwest will be named the Pat Walker Campus.

The donation is the largest the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation has ever made, according to an Aug. 4 Arkansas Children’s news release. In the past, the foundation has supported Arkansas Children’s with $11 million in philanthropic support.
