Advocate Aurora Health Care wins rezoning OK for $228M hospital

Milwaukee-based Advocate Aurora Health has received rezoning approval from the Mount Pleasant Village Board to build a $228 million hospital and medical office in Mount Pleasant, Wis., according to Milwaukee Business Journal.

The 89-acre site was rezoned from an agriculture and business park to institutional and public service area. The hospital will be 198,000 square feet andthe medical office will be 98,000 square feet. Construction is likely to begin this summer and wrap in early 2022.

“This approval is a significant step toward our plan to expand services and access to healthcare throughout this growing region,” said Lisa Just, president of Advocate Aurora Health’s patient service area for Racine, Kenosha and Lake counties.

The new facilities will create 220 clinical jobs and 122 support positions.
