Altamonte Springs, Fla.-AdventHealth will open its new $81 million campus Sept. 29 to patients in Aurora, Colo.
AdventHealth Aurora Highlands emergency room and medical office building are the first phase of the planned dual-phase medical campus, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
The health system broke ground on the medical campus in February.
The 88,000-square-foot facility includes a 24-hour freestanding emergency room, outpatient imaging and clinic services.
The campus will offer a freestanding emergency room with eight exam rooms, two trauma exam rooms and a helipad. It will also have outpatient imaging services, primary care, orthopedic, cardiology and OB-GYN services, and additional clinic space for future growth.
Future development plans on the campus include a 50-to 75-bed hospital with an anticipated Level III trauma center designation.
AdventHealth currently has five hospitals in Colorado. The system is currently planning a replacement hospital for its AdventHealth Avista in Louisville, Colo., and has plans for a new facility in Broomfield, Colo., a spokesperson confirmed with Becker’s.
