Officials said the facility includes a 10-story, 98-laboratory research center; an eight-story, 108-bed inpatient treatment center; and a multidisciplinary outpatient center, which includes clinics, radiation oncology, surgery, radiology, a 24/7 treatment center and lab and collaborative treatment and diagnostics.

The facility also houses the Chihuly Sanctuary, which features 10 art installations and an all-season garden to provide a place of respite for patients and families dealing with cancer, according to the report.

Officials said a public open house will be held for the cancer center May 27 from 9 a.m. to noon CST.
