Here are five things to know about the closure.

1. The former Natchez Community Hospital campus will close Nov. 11.

2. The week before the closure, all hospital services will move roughly one mile away to the Merit Health Natchez campus, the former Natchez Regional Medical Center.

3. The emergency room at the former Natchez Community Hospital campus will remain open until noon Nov. 11. However, starting Nov. 9, new admissions and outpatient services, such as lab and radiology services, will only be provided at the Merit Health Natchez campus, officials said, according to the report.

4. According to the report, the hospital has devoted about $25 million — including $12 million in construction and renovation projects to the former NRMC campus — prior to the consolidation.

5. Future plans for the community campus have not been finalized.
