Cowen & Co. surveyed 2,500 people and asked them, “What platforms do you use most often to view video content on TV?”

Netflix led the pack, with 27 percent of respondents saying they used the service the most often, with basic cable coming in second at 20 percent and broadcast television ranking third with 18.1 percent. Netflix was also the most popular option among respondents ages 18 to 24, with nearly 40 percent of those respondents saying they watched Netflix the most often.

“Over the long term, assuming [Netflix] is able to continue to increasingly offer great content, this lead clearly bodes well for further value creation,” John Blackledge, a senior research analyst at Cowen & Co., wrote in a research note, according to Variety.
