Survey: 10 things people want AI to do for them

Fifty percent of readers said they wanted artificial intelligence technologies to help them become healthier, according to a Quartz survey. However, only 29 percent of readers indicated they wanted AI to manage their health for them.

For the survey, the online business news outlet asked 1,640 Quartz readers about their attitudes toward AI. The majority of respondents — 65 percent — indicated they expected to use AI “all the time” in five years, according to the survey.

Here are the top 10 tasks AI researchers and product designers are working toward that respondents said they wanted AI to be able to do for them.

1. Get me information: 78 percent

2. Save me time: 59 percent

3. Save me money: 51 percent

4. Help me be healthier/fit: 50 percent

5. Teach me: 48 percent

6. Drive me: 45 percent

7. Household chores: 43 percent

8. Make me money: 39 percent

9. Organize my day: 36 percent

10. Manage my finances: 34 percent
