Change Healthcare, Google Cloud team up to develop augmented radiology workflows

Change Healthcare entered into a strategic relationship with Google Cloud to combine its clinical knowledge and healthcare imaging capabilities with Google's artificial intelligence and analytics platforms with the goal of enabling real-time collaborative care and augmented radiology workflows.

The companies are working on technologies that explore machine-learning solutions for healthcare providers and help connect care teams. The solutions build on Google's Cloud platform to provide a scalable data infrastructure that supports healthcare providers with relevant, pervasive and cost-effective solutions.

"In today's dynamic healthcare industry, providers are looking for new ways to improve patient care. That is why Change Healthcare will be working with Google Cloud to introduce innovative technologies and solutions to address the challenges healthcare providers face both today and in the future," said Erkan Akyuz, executive vice president and president for imaging, workflow and care solutions at Change Healthcare.
