Under the agreement, which was announced at the Radiological Society of North America’s 103rd annual meeting in Chicago Nov. 26, Nvidia released its Revolution Frontier CT that leverages AI computing to process images two times faster than the previous system. The partnership also advanced the Vivid E95 4D Ultrasound and developed GE Healthcare’s Applied Intelligence analytics platform.

Using AI technology — such as graphics processing unit-accelerated deep learning solutions and predictive analytics for clinical decision making — in healthcare can drive lower radiation doses, faster exam times and higher-quality medical imaging.

“Healthcare is changing at remarkable speed, and the technologies that will transform the industry should reflect that pace,” Kieran Murphy, president and CEO of GE Healthcare, said. “By partnering with NVIDIA, GE Healthcare will be able to deliver devices of the future — intelligent machines capable of empowering providers to improve the speed and accuracy of diagnoses for patients around the world.”
