Montefiore, UnitedHealthcare Ink Accountable Care Agreement

Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y., has formed an accountable care agreement with UnitedHealthcare for more than 9,000 individuals.

The agreement will cover enrollees in Oxford Health-branded plans and UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored plans. The collaboration focuses on prevention, improved coordination and well-managed care, according to the news release.

Montefiore is also a participant in CMS’ Pioneer ACO program.
