Children’s Hospital of Orange County, St. Joseph Hoag Health Launch ACO

Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Hoag Health and Orange, Calif.-based Children’s Hospital of Orange County are forming an accountable care organization.

The two organizations will share in the financial and medical responsibilities of providing patient care at eight hospitals and nine medical groups and affiliated physician networks, according to a news release.

The goal of the ACO is to improve quality of care and patient experience while cutting healthcare costs.
