Through the acuqistion, iHealth will add emPower’s New York City-based customers to its portfolio, as well as medical revenue cycle processing centers in Chennai and Bangalore, India.
Venkat Sharma, CEO of iHealth, will head the combined companies.
“[EmPower’s] customers augment iHealth’s existing enterprise customer base while also strengthening iHealth’s current revenue cycle services to hospitals and large practices in the northeast,” Mr. Sharma said. “New York City is a unique market, and [emPower’s] deep experience will greatly benefit iHealth as it strives to become the preeminent, national technology and services solution for healthcare providers.”
