IBM names leader of new Internet of Things business unit

On Monday, IBM formally created an Internet of Things business unit, according to a Fortune report.

IBM named Harriet Green as the vice president and general manager of its IoT division. Ms. Green is the former CEO of Thomas Cook Group, a global travel company in the United Kingdom.

IBM plans to invest $3 billion in the IoT division over the next four years, according to the report.
