With 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, Moore has provided care in community health, adult health, emergency management, pediatrics, and administrative leadership in post-acute and acute care settings, among other areas. As a board member, Moore will play an integral role in discussing developments in nursing and share perspectives on key issues, such as safe patient handling and what healthcare organizations can do to help promote healthier workplaces for nurses. Additionally, the board helps identify trends, initiate policy discussion and lay the foundation for future collaboration that will benefit patients, nurses and the nation’s healthcare system.
“As nursing continues to be the most trusted profession, it is an honor to be a member of the Foundation’s Corporate Advisory Board to help further the dialogue on the issues that impact nurses the most,” says Moore. “In a complex healthcare world, it is crucial to empower nurses to have a voice and the ability to make key decisions in their roles.”
