9 hospitals receive credit downgrades in past month

Nine hospitals and health systems received a credit downgrade during the past month, according to a report from HFA Partners.

The hospitals and health systems receiving credit downgrades included the following:

  • Allegiance Health (Jackson, Mich.) — from A- to BBB+ (S&P)
  • Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center — from A+ to A (S&P)
  • Crozer-Chester Medical Center (Upland, Pa.) — from Ba2 to Ba3 (Moody’s)
  • Eastern Maine Healthcare System (Brewer) — from Baa1 to Baa2 (Moody’s)
  • Hunt Memorial Hospital District (Greenville, Texas) — from A- to BBB+ (S&P)
  • Kuakini Health System (Honolulu) — from BB+ to BB (S&P)
  • Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center — from BBB to BB+ (S&P)
  • Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (Whittier, Calif.) — from A+ to A (S&P)
  • Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center (Show Low, Ariz.) — from BBB to BBB- (S&P)
