LifePoint Health announces support center employee promotions: 6 things to know

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health has promoted two LifePoint Health Support Center employees to new positions.

Here are six things to know about the employees.

Ken Gagnon, PharmD, has been named vice president of pharmacy services. 

1. In his new role, Dr. Gagnon will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating clinical, operational, regulatory and compliance activities for all hospital-based pharmacy services at LifePoint Health’s facilities across the U.S., according to a news release. He also will be instrumental in “identifying best practices and trends in pharmacy practice and developing and implementing strategies to drive operational efficiencies system-wide,” the release reads.

2. Dr. Gagnon previously served LifePoint as senior director of pharmacy services.

3. Prior to joining the LifePoint Health Support Center in 2009, Dr. Gagnon was director of pharmacy for Castleview Hospital and Ashley Regional Medical Center, two LifePoint hospitals located in Utah.

Michelle Augusty has been named senior director of communications.

4. In this role, Ms. Augusty is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies for LifePoint Health, its hospitals and affiliated healthcare organizations. She plays an integral role in “overseeing public relations and media relations efforts for the company, as well as coordinating communications related to strategic company initiatives and the acquisition of new facilities,” according to a news release.

5. Ms. Augusty previously served LifePoint as director of communications.

6. Before joining LifePoint in 2012, Ms. Augusty was an account executive at DVL Seigenthaler Public Relations in Nashville, Tenn., where she served numerous local and national clients across the healthcare, nonprofit, financial and retail industries.
