New Hanover Regional Medical Center Proposes Freestanding ED

New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., announced that it has submitted a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation to build a freestanding emergency department in Wilmington.

The proposed ED will be approximately 30,000 square feet.

If approved by the state, construction is expected to begin in early 2014 and be completed by spring 2015.
