St. Louis-based BJC Health System has appointed Scott Hawig executive vice president and CFO, effective Sept. 15. He will succeed Chuck Robb, who will retire at the end of 2025 after nearly 35 years with BJC and Saint Luke’s.

Mr. Hawig currently serves as CFO of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, an 18-hospital academic system affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he served as executive vice president, chief financial and administrative officer, and treasurer.

Before joining Froedtert ThedaCare, Mr. Hawig held senior leadership positions at Shands HealthCare at The University of Florida in Gainesville and Duke University Health System in Durham, N.C. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University.

“Scott’s proven leadership in health care finance management will be instrumental in ensuring BJC continues to meet the needs of our communities and provide exceptional care,” BJC CEO Rich Liekweg said in a July 23 news release. “We are grateful to Chuck for the contribution he has made to the industry  over nearly 35 years, including serving an essential role at BJC in the integration of Saint Luke’s Health System into BJC Health System in January 2024.”
