The goals of the cancer-specific ACO are the same as other, general accountable care programs: to improve patient outcomes and quality of care while lowering healthcare costs. The ACO will focus on “common cancers,” according to the press release.
The program will have a value-based compensation structure and Florida Blue and Moffitt will collaboratively identify the program’s quality metrics.
