The initiative, called the Nashville Health Care Council Fellows, will bring together healthcare industry leaders to develop new solutions to the challenges facing the industry. This group of leaders — the class of council fellows — will meet bi-monthly for eight day-long sessions in the spring and summer of 2013.
The sessions will be based on a curriculum focusing on three main areas: discussion of topics such as value creation and effecting change; immersion opportunities at Nashville’s leading healthcare organizations; and leadership development. The sessions will also feature additional curriculum through Harvard Business School industry case studies.
Nominations for fellows are open Nov. 12 through Dec. 21, and the program will officially start in March. Ideal fellow candidates currently serve or are slated to serve in key C-suite positions in their organizations and commit to fully engaging in identifying challenges and exploring solutions facing the industry, among other attributes, according to the release. Twenty to 30 applicants will be chosen.
