Here are three things to know:
1. Officials expect to finalize the integration by early 2019, subject to regulatory review.
2. The boards of both institutions signed a nonbinding letter of intent to integrate in June. Somerset Hospital’s board of directors approved the affiliation Nov. 1.
3. Somerset Hospital issued requests for affiliation proposals from interested organizations last year.
