Tahoe Forest Hospital (Truckee, Calif.). Tahoe Forest Hospital is a nonprofit rural healthcare facility designated as a critical access hospital with 25 acute care beds and 36 long-term beds. The hospital covers six rural counties and around 3,500 square miles. Tahoe Forest Hospital was founded in 1951 and has grown to include an ambulatory surgery center, emergency services and intensive care.
