Steele Memorial Medical Center (Salmon, Idaho). Steele Memorial Medical Center was founded in 1950 as Steele Memorial Hospital. The 18-bed critical access hospital and its rural health clinic include more than 150 employees. In October 2004, the hospital opened a new facility with expanded services such as OB/GYN and orthopedic surgery. iVantage Health Analytics named Steele Memorial to its list of 2017 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S.
