In addition to participating in all six HHI Challenges, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center is a Practice Greenhealth 2015 Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award honoree and one of 10 hospitals Practice Greenhealth chose to recognize in its Energy Circle of Excellence. In April, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center opened its new $100 million Center for Advanced Care, a sustainably designed building with two green roofs, a park and a variety of energy-efficient elements that are predicted to save the Center for Advanced Care about 35 percent in energy costs. The facility is targeting USGBC’s LEED Silver certification.
