Providence St. Joseph Health (Renton, Wash.). Renton-based Providence Health & Services merged with St. Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health to create Providence St. Joseph Health in July 2016. The combined system includes 50 hospitals, more than 111,000 caregivers, two health plans, 38,000 nurses, a high school, nursing schools and a university in addition to 829 clinics. Stretching through seven states, Providence St. Joseph Health covers 1.9 million lives and provides $1.6 billion in community benefit.
