BJC Healthcare provides primary care, home health and hospice care, among other services, at 15 hospitals and multiple community health locations across southern Illinois and Missouri. The health system had 3,964 physicians and 140,829 hospital admissions in 2015. BJC provides $301 million in charity care and unreimbursed care annually. Three BJC hospitals were ranked top hospitals in the state by U.S. News & World Report in 2016-17, and the health system’s Barne’s Jewish hospital ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 11 in the nation.
