Jan Compton, BSN, RN. Chief Patient Safety Officer of Baylor Scott & White Health (Dallas). In her role at Baylor Scott & White Health, Ms. Compton oversees the development and implementation of evidence-based safety practices aimed at reducing inpatient mortality rates. She holds more than 30 years of experience as a nurse at Baylor Health Care System and previously served as the director of healthcare improvement, care coordination, risk management, patient safety and guest relations for Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dallas. Ms. Compton is the patient safety and quality committee chair for the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council and a member of the North Texas Association for Healthcare Quality.
