Helen Macfie, PharmD. Chief Transformation Officer of MemorialCare Health System (Fountain Valley, Calif.). In her role as chief transformation officer, Dr. Macfie oversees systemwide clinical quality and patient safety improvement initiatives across a five-hospital nonprofit health system with more than 200 care sites. Additionally, she serves on The Joint Commission Pioneers in Quality Advisory Panel, as faculty for IHI’s Patient Safety Executive and Leading Population Health courses, and served on the Board of California Hospital Association’s Hospital Quality Institute, several statewide advisory boards and on the national Malcolm S. Baldrige Examiner Panel. She has worked in organizational improvement at MemorialCare and other organizations for more than 20 years.
