Derek Feeley. CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. Mr. Feeley served as the executive vice president of IHI from 2013 to 2015 before stepping into his current role as CEO. Prior to joining IHI, he acted as the director general for health and social care in the Scottish government, where he was responsible for advising the government on various healthcare quality issues, including patient safety. As a 2005 Harkness Fellow in Healthcare Policy, Mr. Feeley spent a year researching chronic disease management in the U.S. and conducted case studies with Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
