David J. Ballard, MD, PhD. Chief Quality Officer of Baylor Scott & White Health (Dallas) and President of the STEEEP Global Institute. Dr. Ballard formerly served as the chief quality officer of Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System from 1999 to 2013, until Baylor merged with Scott & White in 2013 and he took on his current role. Dr. Ballard became president of the STEEEP Global Institute, an organization that offers guidance to other healthcare organizations to improve quality based on BSWH’s success, in 2011. Dr. Ballard serves on the editorial boards of Health Services Research and Mayo Clinic Proceedings and has published more than 150 PubMed-listed papers.
