Robert M. Wachter, MD. Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Medicine University of California San Francisco.
In addition to his faculty appointments with the University of California San Francisco’s department of medicine, Dr. Wachter is chief of the division of hospitalist medicine. He is the best-selling author of the “The Digital Doctor” and is editor of the AHRQ Patient Safety Network, the federal patient safety portal, and AHRQ WebM&M, a patient safety journal. Dr. Wachter is past president of the Society of Hospital Medicine, has received numerous awards for his work in hospital medicine, has served on Google’s healthcare advisory board and is former chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
