Verdi J. DiSesa, MD. President and CEO of Temple University Hospital and COO of Temple University Health System (Philadelphia). In addition to serving as the president and CEO of Temple University Hospital, a 732-bed academic medical center, and COO of Temple University Health System, Dr. DiSesa is the senior vice dean of clinical affairs at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He is responsible for the health system’s strategic direction to provide quality, safe and cost-effective clinical services; he also supports physician education and training. A physician by background, Dr. DiSesa completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Boston and Harvard Medical School.
