Thomas Zenty III. CEO of University Hospitals (Cleveland). As CEO of University Hospitals, Mr. Zenty manages the largest network of primary care providers in Northeast Ohio, 12 community hospitals, two rehabilitation hospitals and more than 40 community health centers, staffed by a total of more than 30,000 UH physicians, nurses, employees and volunteers. He has overseen a $1.2 billion initiative to improve access to healthcare services in the region, a systemwide EHR implementation and several expansion projects, including the construction of UH Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio. Prior to joining University Hospitals in 2003, Mr. Zenty served as executive vice president of clinical care services and COO of Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Health System from 2000 to 2003.
