Kevin Lofton. CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives (Englewood, Colo.). Since becoming CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives in 2003, Mr. Lofton has helped grow it into the nation’s third-largest nonprofit health system. In 2016, CHI generated revenues of more than $15 billion, while also providing more than $1 billion in charity care and community benefit. Mr. Lofton oversees the health system’s 100 hospitals across 17 states, which include 30 critical access facilities. Before joining CHI, Mr. Lofton served as the CEO of two university hospitals and COO of a third. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Ebony named him one of its “150 Most Influential Blacks in America” in 2007.
