John Couris. President and CEO of Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital. Mr. Couris has spent his entire healthcare career serving nonprofit organizations. He began working at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital in 1990 and joined the Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare system in 2000. A decade later, he stepped into the role of president and CEO of Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center. During his tenure at Jupiter, he was responsible for forging major partnerships with notable providers such as Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, and established a $300 million fundraising campaign for critically needed medical services at the facility.
