Delos “Toby” Cosgrove, MD. President and CEO of Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Cosgrove became president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic in 2004 and plans to step down from this role at the end of 2017. Among Dr. Cosgrove’s many accomplishments during his tenure are major wellness initiatives, including a smoking ban on Cleveland Clinic campuses and the creation of an employee health insurance program offering discounts for physical activity. A cardiac surgeon by training, Dr. Cosgrove performed about 22,000 operations during his 30-year career and earned an international reputation for his valve repair expertise.
