Henry Franey. Executive Vice President and CFO of University of Maryland Medical System (Baltimore)
Mr. Franey, who has more than 30 years of healthcare financial management experience, oversees University of Maryland Medical System’s financial services, such as capital planning, investment and debt management and financial reporting. He started as senior vice president and CFO of the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore in 1992. Before joining UMMS, Mr. Franey was a healthcare consulting partner in KPMG’s Baltimore office. A certified public accountant, Mr. Franey also earned an MBA in finance from Loyola College in Maryland. Active in the industry, he is a past president of the Maryland chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served on HFMA’s national advisory council.
