Kevin Lofton. CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives (Englewood, Colo.). Mr. Lofton held multiple positions at CHI, including COO, before he was appointed CEO in 2003. He previously served as CEO of Birmingham-based University of Alabama Hospital, CEO of Washington, D.C.-based Howard University Hospital and COO of what is now Jacksonville, Fla.-based Shands Hospital. A fellow and former regent at large in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Lofton is also active with the American Hospital Association and served as its chairman of the board of directors in 2007.
