Vivian von Gruenigen, MD. CMO of Summa Health System (Akron, Ohio). Dr. von Gruenigen has served as CMO of Summa Health System since July 2016, providing medical oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the system meets high standards of quality and service. Dr. von Gruenigen joined Summa Health in 2009 and served as chair of the OB-GYN department before being promoted to her current role. Akron Life named Dr. von Gruenigen one of the top OB-GYN oncologists in 2016. She was honored by the Athena International Leadership organization in 2011 and 2012 as a finalist for the Akron Cleveland Athena International Leadership Award and received the First Annual Richard Ireland Award at the World Congress Leadership Summit on Business of Women’s Health in 2012.
