Phyllis Sherard, PhD. Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President of Population Health of Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center. Dr. Sherard joined Cheyenne Regional Medical Center as chief strategy officer and vice president of population health in 2007 and is responsible for developing a new era of competencies for the changing healthcare landscape. In addition to her roles at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Dr. Sherard oversees the Wyoming Institute of Population Health, which fosters a proactive approach to patient care for vulnerable populations beyond hospital facilities. Before joining Cheyenne Regional, Dr. Sherard spent 20 years at the Wyoming Department of Health, retiring in 2005 as deputy director of the agency. In 2012, she was awarded the Innovation Advisor Fellowship by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
