Laura Kaiser. President and CEO of SSM Health (St. Louis). Ms. Kaiser officially took the reins of SSM Health in May after serving as executive vice president and COO of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare for five years. At Intermountain, Ms. Kaiser led health delivery strategy formulation and operations for 22 hospital locations, a 1,300-plus member employed physician group, and more than 200 ambulatory medical office and urgent care sites. As the top leader for SSM, Ms. Kaiser now oversees all operations for 20 hospitals, more than 60 outpatient care sites and two accountable care organizations, among other SSM entities. Ms. Kaiser has co-authored articles on subjects such as value-based care published in the Harvard Business Review and The New England Journal of Medicine.
