Lori Morgan, MD. President and CEO of Huntington Hospital (Pasadena, Calif.). Dr. Morgan took the reins as president and CEO of Huntington Hospital in September after spending eight years as corporate vice president of Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health, a seven-hospital system. She also served as president of Legacy Health’s largest facility in Portland, the 554-bed Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, where she oversaw more than 3,600 employees and $1 billion in net revenue. When she took over as president, Legacy Emanuel was reporting $3 million in annual net profits; by 2016, the hospital reported net profits exceeding $36 million. A trauma surgeon and intensivist by training, Dr. Morgan spent 20 years in practice, including three years as co-director of surgical ICU and trauma at Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
