Richard Hart, MD, DrPH. President and CEO of Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health. In 2008, Dr. Hart took the reins as president of Loma Linda University, which encompasses the enterprise’s academics, research organizations and health system. Dr. Hart’s tenure at Loma Linda University began in 1972, and since then he has held various roles, including chair of the department of health sciences, director of the Center for Health Promotion, chair of the School of Medicine department of preventive medicine and dean of the School of Public Health. In 2001, he was appointed chancellor and CEO of Loma Linda University. Prior to joining the university, Dr. Hart, who is board-certified in preventive medicine, served in Tanzania as a population intern from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.
