Prem Reddy, MD. Chairman, President and CEO of Prime Healthcare (Ontario, Calif.). Dr. Reddy founded Prime Healthcare Services, which operates 43 acute care hospitals across 14 states, in 2001. He also created then-83-bed acute care hospital Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, Calif., in 1994, which Prime eventually acquired. Under his leadership, Prime Healthcare has been recognized by various ranking institutions — such as Truven Health Analytics and The Joint Commission — for high quality. He has also established two nonprofit charitable foundations: the Dr. Prem Reddy Family Foundation and the Prime Healthcare Foundation. Dr. Reddy, a double board-certified internist and cardiologist, practiced medicine for 25 years and performed more than 5,000 cardiac procedures.
