David J. Bailey, MD. President and CEO of Nemours (Jacksonville, Fla.). Dr. Bailey has been president and CEO of Nemours, an integrated children’s health system, since 2006. In this role, he oversees two freestanding hospitals in Delaware and Florida. Nemours also includes more than 60 primary, specialty and urgent care practices in five states and has 20 affiliated hospital relationships. Dr. Bailey also operates KidsHealth, a website for children’s healthcare information. He started his career at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Orlando and became the system’s first COO in 2003. He has also served various roles in the Medical Army Corps and established the division of pediatric gastroenterology at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.
