UnityPoint Accountable Care (West Des Moines). UnityPoint Health founded UnityPoint Accountable Care, formerly known as Iowa Health Accountable Care, in 2012 as a Pioneer ACO. CMS selected UnityPoint Accountable Care for the Next Generation ACO Model in 2017, serving 83,000 beneficiaries. UnityPoint also participates in the UnitedHealthcare ACO and UnityPoint Health Self-Insured Employee Health Plan.
