UNC Senior Alliance (Morrisville, N.C.). UNC Senior Alliance is a physician-led ACO comprised of UNC Health Care-employed and independent providers. The ACO partnered with Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care and Cigna in 2016 to launch a collaborative care initiative for improving access to care, care coordination and affordability. The agreement took effect Jan. 1, 2017. CMS selected UNC Senior Alliance to participate in the Next Generation ACO Model in 2017.
