Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (Houston). Founded by Denton A. Cooley, MD, in 1962, the Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing cardiovascular disease. The heart institute was born through the partnership between the Texas Heart Institute and CHI St. Luke's Health-Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. For the past 25 years, Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center has been ranked among the top institutions in the country for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report.
